You can reach Market Street hotel very easily from the airport.
BY AIRLINK BUS
If taking the bus, choose the Airlink service and get off at the "City Centre, Waverley Bridge* stop. The hotel is just a 3-4 minute walk from here. You can purchase Airlink single and return tickets directly from the Airlink drivers. Buses run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Departures are every 10 minutes between 04:00 and 01:00 and every 15 to 20 minutes through the night.
The journey from Edinburgh Airport to the City Centre lasts approximately 30 minutes.
BY TRAM
If taking the tram, get off at the stop called “Princes Street” (right beside the Scottish National Gallery). From here make your way to Market Street, which is a 10 minutes walk away. You can purchase tram tickets at the kiosk just before the tram stop at the airport, or at the vending machines. Tickets can’t be purchased on board. All single and return tickets must be used to board within 30 minutes of purchase, activation or validation. Trams run between 5:20AM and 10:45PM. Departures are approximately every 10 minutes.

Parking
Market Street hotel does not have an on-site car park.
However guests can use the external car park at Edinburgh Waverley Station car park (operated by APCOA) on New Street, Edinburgh, EH8 8BH, which is a 7-minute walk from Market Street hotel.
Guests will receive a 20% discount when their parking ticket is presented at reception.

Low Emission Zone
Located in the heart of the City Centre, Market Street hotel sits within the boundary of Edinburgh’s new Low Emissions Zone (LEZ). Created to improve air quality and reduce harmful emissions from road traffic, the new zone will operate 24/7, restricting vehicles driving within the LEZ.
What does this mean for guests travelling by car?
From the 1st of June 2024 Penalty Charge Notices will be issued to cars driving within the LEZ that do not comply with the minimum emissions standards. This will apply to all vehicles except those with an exemption, and motorcycles/mopeds. For UK-registered vehicles, the registration can be checked via the vehicle checker to see if it meets LEZ standards. For non-UK registered vehicles, please contact your national vehicle authorities to confirm your compliance status before travelling.
