Edinburgh as a city embraces it's rich art history, married with an upcoming contemporary scene. With so much on our doorstep, we feel perfectly placed to share come of our favourites (and neighbours!) with you.



Fruitmarket

Our neighbour, situated directly across the road from us, the Fruitmarket is a cultural hub in the heart of the city offering world-class exhibitions, commissions, events and activities that all open up the artistic process. A place that encourages people to think with contemporary art and culture - all for free! Booking is recommended however, walk ins are available.

City Art Centre

The City Art Centre, located next door to us, plays host to the City of Edinburgh's nationally recognised collection of Scottish art with paintings by the majority of Scotland's greatest artists including The Scottish Colourists, Allan Ramsay and Sit Henry Raeburn. Entry is free however, timeslots must be booked in advance.

Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art

Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is home to Scotland’s outstanding collection of modern and contemporary art. The grounds are also an experience in themselves with world-class sculptures and beautiful green spaces, with both family activities and self-led tours of sculptures in the grounds.

Jupiter Artland

Jupiter Artland is an award-winning contemporary sculpture garden located just outside Edinburgh and is one of Scotland’s most significant arts organisations, with an international reputation for innovation and creativity. Jupiter Artland is home to over 30 permanent and unique site-specific sculptures from artists Phyllida Barlow, Christian Boltanski and Charles Jencks, as well as a seasonal programme of carefully curated exhibitions and events from a plethora of artists, both emerging and established.
